Quantum trick-taking โ€” the suit doesn't exist until you declare it.

How to play
  • Every card is black โ€” it shows only a number. When you play it you declare a colour (๐Ÿ”ด red, ๐Ÿ”ต blue, ๐ŸŸก yellow, ๐ŸŸข green). The colour does not exist until you declare it.
  • You hold colour tokens. Declaring a colour spends one of that colour's tokens. Declaring anything other than the led colour also burns a token of the led colour โ€” so following suit is cheap, cheating is not.
  • The research board holds one card per (colour, number) pair. A pair can only be claimed once per round โ€” the board fills up, and legal declarations run out.
  • ๐Ÿ”ด Red trumps. Otherwise the led colour beats the other two. Highest number within the winning colour takes the trick.
  • The player leading a trick cannot declare red until red has been declared that round โ€” the trump can't be led straight away.
  • Before each round you predict how many tricks you'll win. An exact prediction earns a bonus equal to your longest chain of claimed board slots.
  • No legal declaration? Paradox โ€” the round ends, you reveal your hand and lose a point per trick you won.
  • Most points wins.
